Discover how to make the soil in your garden a vital living ecosystem.
In this free workshop, you will learn:
1) how to turn your food scraps into garden gold by creating your own backyard compost

2) what you can do to prepare your soil for winter.

INSTRUCTOR: AVIS LICHT
Avis Licht has a degree in from UC Berkeley in Agricultural Sciences, and apprenticed with the great horticulturist, Alan Chadwick, who brought bio-dynamic, French Intensive gardening to this country. She founded the Commonweal Garden in Bolinas 40 years ago and was instrumental in the founding of the Indian Valley College Organic Farm and Garden. She has a gardening blog that covers all aspects of gardening and uses her own 1/2 acre garden in Woodacre for teaching.
