What would Fairfax look like without Sustainable Fairfax? Sustainable Fairfax has thrived because of the people who have come together, to work together to make a difference. We believe that building a strong community means engaging people of all ages and backgrounds to interact and get involved in group projects, activities, and celebrations.
The vision has always been rooted in community, education and the environment! The activities have been centered on educational activities so we can all learn new ways to save water, plant native gardens, recycle right, and compost correctly, to use less stuff and how to live with a smaller footprint on this earth.
But people come and go. Some have moved to new places, found new jobs, or are busy being new grand parents. It’s time for a new cast of characters to move in and collectively hold and nurture Sustainable Fairfax.
